Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature includes some sort of a top ten list, related to books. I have decided to participate here and there, when there is a top ten list that I can contribute.
Top 10 Books I'd Recommend to Someone Who Doesn't Read YA
I primarily read Young Adult Books now, but I haven't always. During college, I was much more interested in adult contemporary. I was thinking that I should read books that are more adult. Once I graduated and had plenty of time to read, I started reading books that I wouldn't typically read. And that's when my love for young adult began. I picked 10 young adult books that I think would be easy transitions into the genre from something like adult contemporary.
1. Where it Began
Ann Redisch Stampler
2. Bittersweet
Sarah Ockler
3. Stay
Deb Caletti
4. Dark Eyes
William Richter
5. The Lying Game
Sara Shepard
6. L.A. Candy
Lauren Conrad
7. Unraveling Isobel
Eileen Cook
8. In Too Deep
Amanda Grace
9. The Unwritten Rule
Elizabeth Scott
10. The Body Finder
Kimberly Derting

I really want to read The Unwritten Rule and The Body Finder!! I've heard that they are both great! Great list Annabell! ;)
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who keeps recommending The Lying Game to me - I suppose I'll take your list as a sign that I should actually read it ;)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Top Ten and Teaser Tuesday!
There is only one book I've read in this list, and I didn't like it (The Body Finder). I have The Lying Game sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. And Bittersweet and Where It Began are on my to-read list. Great list!

I am not a YA fan but I am going to go with your recommendation of The Body Finder since mystery is my favourite genre, this one has intrigued me.
