Wings of the Wicked
Courtney Allison Moulton
Angelfire # 2
Synopsis: Life as the Preliator is harder than Ellie ever imagined.
Balancing real life with the responsibility of being Heaven’s warrior is a challenge for Ellie. Her relationship with Will has become all business, though they both long for each other. And now that the secret of who she really is has come out, so have Hell’s strongest reapers. Grown bold and more vicious, the demonic threaten her in the light of day and stalk her in the night.
She’s been warned.
Cadan, a demonic reaper, comes to her with information about Bastian’s new plan to destroy Ellie’s soul and use an ancient relic to wake all the souls of the damned and unleash them upon humanity. As she fights to stay ahead of Bastian’s schemes , the revelations about those closest to her awaken a dark power within Ellie that threatens to destroy everything—including herself.
She’ll be betrayed.
Treachery comes even from those whom she loves, and Ellie is broken by the deaths of those who stood beside her in this Heavenly war. Still, she must find a way to save the world, herself, and her love for Will. If she fails, there will be hell to pay.

My thoughts: Life for Ellie just gets harder and harder! She can handle it though. She never seems to become weak or defeated.....even when her world is turned upside down again!
I definitely felt the chemistry between Will and Ellie in this book. Ellie finds out why Will is so unsure about them being together, but she won't give up. She is always concerned about him. I think she would give up her life to save him, even if it meant she couldn't come back next time. And then demonic reaper Cadan comes along. Ellie isn't sure she can trust him, but she still doesn't fight him. And he brings her good information to help her, so she sees no need to hurt him yet. :) I am not one to go for the bad boy, but I am totally digging Cadan in this book! So as far as I am concerned, Ellie can keep Will because Cadan is all mine!
My emotions were all over the place with this! I love happy books with happy endings, but that isn't what real life is like. This book really had me feeling like it was real, despite all of the paranormal parts that I know aren't real! This book completely took a turn when the first important character dies. I had to reread that part because I was sure that didn't just happen! I was sad, and I felt like I was grieving right along with the other characters. By the end of the book, their deaths all made sense and I think the book wouldn't have been so good if it was the perfect happy story. I think the other characters are just going to be stronger than ever before because of all they have lost.
This book was pretty darn close to perfect. It was much better than Angelfire, but I think that's the way series go. The first book has to set the foundation, and then the second book can just be amazing! And that is definitely what Courntey has done with this series. Too bad now I have to wait until 2013 to find out what happens next!

Thank you for another informative website. The place else could I get that type of information written in such an ideal means? I've a venture that I am simply now running on, and I've been at the look out for such information.
